We are filming a public service announcement asking for students to become involved on campus. We’d like to feature your organization in the commercial!

Got Pace Pride? SHOW US! Your organization will inspire many students to join clubs, spark new interests, make new friends, and all around, enhance community throughout Pace University!

You can send two representatives or your entire organization (feel free to dress up in Pace or club attire!!) to star in the commercial! Don’t worry, we’ll tell you what to say and make you the celebrities of Pace University.

POP-TV will be filming on Monday Feb. 22, Tuesday Feb. 23, and Wednesday Feb. 24. Please schedule a time BY THE END OF THIS WEEK that is convenient for members of your organization to attend.

Right now we are busy with many show productions and integrating new members so that they can become an active resource for the channel. We are planning to run as a bi-weekly production, so that we can stay current. We have weekly meeting on Wednesdays in room E304 at 12:15pm and all are welcome to join.

*AUDITIONS! EDITORS! STUDENT WORK!*

Currently, we are looking for various students to complete these tasks:

1. HOSTING! We would like to file all those students who are interested in hosting any segment send in an audition tape for “Pace Fun Facts!” The procedure is to go as follows:

- A quick 10-30 second clip of yourself stating a fun fact about Pace.
Ex.) “Did you know that 129 countries are represented at Pace University, including India, Taiwan, China, and many more!?”

*Facts must BE REAL and if you have trouble coming up with a Pace Fun Fact, feel free to e-mail us and we’ll be more than happy to provide you with one!

-Submit the video to us through e-mail at poptv@pace.edu with your name and year.

IT IS THAT SIMPLE!

The segment will appear on our channel and we will use it as your primary audition for other shows throughout the year, so SHOW US WHAT YOU HAVE!

We are also on the look for editors and animators, so if you have experience in these areas, feel free to e-mail us at poptv@pace.edu.

You can submit your entry anytime between RIGHT NOW and the start of the school year!

We will be going over assignments for Fashion’s Night Out.  Also, we will be discussing any new ideas you want to see happen. Everyone is welcome, even if you are not an official member yet. And most importantly the FOOD is FREE!

AHHH!
Let me back this up a bit…

After some technical glitches for a scheduled web chat between Dean O’Grady, Jeff Blaisdell (POP TV adviser and Assistant Director of Housing) and the co-founders of POP TV, it was decided amongst ourselves to switch up our meeting a bit. Since Hilda and Ivonna live within traveling distance from Pace University, they decided to join the meeting in person, while I (Kaitlynn) was put on speaker phone so I could join the chat all the way from Upstate, NY.

Despite the distance, much was accomplished including: new information regarding some new technology at Pace (we don’t know if we’re allowed to give the details just yet), more people to contact in regards to receiving money, places to meet, programming, showing some of our housing promotion animated videos, and MUCH MORE!

And a bonus, we were complimented on our writing by a lot of Pace officials! Another score for POP TV!

With a significantly large group of students anxious to be involved in some way with POP TV, we’re all striving for success with the channel and this meeting creates a positive outlook for the upcoming school year. The amount of drive and initiative from everyone- students, staff, officials, clubs, outside organizations, etc. has been absolutely phenomenal!

Now I’m off to go and celebrate some more
